FIONA

“I have always worked in the fitness industry starting as an exercise to music teacher and dance enthusiast in the eighties. I experienced the healing and protective nature of Pilates after several bouts of low back and shoulder pain. I trained as a comprehensive teacher in 2006 with STOTT Pilates and started the first Pilates Esprit studio in 2008. I am currently training as a myofascial release therapist and doing a course in three dimensional functional exercise.”

EMILY

“I trained as a dancer at London Studio Centre and regularly practised Pilates to stay injury free throughout my career. I loved how Pilates helped me control my long limbs and feel confident in my body. I was hooked from my first mat class and began my teacher training in 2013 with STOTT Pilates. I am trained to teach matwork, reformer, studio equipment and barre and love to combine the principles of Pilates with my dance background.”

ALI

“After years of enjoying Matwork Pilates, I started Reformer Pilates to assist recovery from a ski accident and knee operation. After appreciating the full benefits of Pilates, I went on to complete my STOTT instructor training in 2012 and am certified in both Matwork and Reformer. I have further developed my knowledge with courses in functional anatomy and workshops for shoulder girdle and lumbo-pelvic stability as well as pre and post-natal Pilates and fascial fitness. First and foremost I love my Pilates and continue to reap the benefits from doing it myself.”

SARAH

“I became a sports therapist 15 years ago. I treat a wide range of soft tissue disorders and do a mean sports massage! I qualified as a Pilates instructor in 2013. Pilates became a passion of mine because within months of participating in classes my longstanding back issues virtually disappeared. I quickly realized that most of my exercise prescription for my sports therapy clients, were in fact tried and tested Pilates exercises. My two roles complement each other beautifully.”
